The winner food of the day is fried grasshoppers ! It's so crispy and tasty. We love it. The other one that always impresses me is the hog plum spicy dipping. Eating it with grilled sticky rice is so satisfying. I visited here often. It's a place that Isaan people like me would like to recommend. The price is reasonable too.

Had many first here. First ant larvae, first bee hives, first “full frog” and its egg. First pond weeds… first banana flower… and they are all very tasty. Certainly not the usual tourist food like pineapple fried rice and Tom yum gai etc.
If you seek unusual dishes and exiting experience you can find here several unique dishes from NE Thailand or Lao. My best restaurant discovery in Bangkok, thanks Wichian :-)

More like 4.5 ⭐ Authentic Isan / Laos cuisine, first time here by way of Mother's search . Apparently this is quite a famous eatery with many awards too. Many hard to find dishes FOOD: huge menu , portion size is on the delicate side (with right pricing though), but not complaining, just more chance to try more dishes. Well prepared, delicious with good ingredients. Foods arrived quite quickly (around 60% occupancy). 8.5/10 SERVICE: very professional, very well run machine. 8.5/10 FACILITY: top class, plenty of parking (2 separate lots, one requires a short walk). Decor is modern-ish, all wooden furnishing. There is air-con section but the queue was too long, haa haa haa. Great house keeping, super clean. Overall spacious and lovely, wish there would be more fans though. 9/10 PRICE: very, very reasonable 10/10
This place is as authentic as it can get. Mostly locals patronizing the place. Location is out of the way as it is not that accessible if you take public transportation. (Taxi or Grab) The food was all done nicely. Not too sweet or too salty. Everything was done perfectly. I really enjoyed myself. I would go back there in a flash. Prices are reasonable and they have a huge menu.
Very good restaurant ambience and popular with the locals. Parking spaces are available at the front of the restaurant, which seems like the back, if you are driving in. Food choices are extensive, Ingredients fresh and tastes fantastic. Menu has English descriptions which helps for non Thai visitors. Service prompt with plenty of service staff to attend to customers. Portioning is on the small side and fits the pricing, which is good for exploring the menu.
